Honey Do’s and friends are needed to assist the Recuperative Care Committee to move boxes of items from All Storage Canyon Gate, 8055 W. Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89117 between 5:00-6:00, and unload it at the Doolittle Committee Center between 6:30-8:00 pm.
On Saturday, January 17, 2026 the Honey Do’s and friends will be needed to load boxes into the U-Haul and personal vehicles in preparation for distribution between 2:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
Our new partners from Garden Farms of Nevada
will join us on 12/20/25!
We donated garden funds to five of their Title 1 schools and their two community gardens
in Henderson & North Las Vegas. Farmer Pete will guide us as we amend and
prepare the soil for Spring planting.

We Are One Day of Service
The Martin Luther King Jr. Day committee is preparing for our annual Weekend of Service in the Las Vegas community. Our activities will begin on Friday, January 16, 2026, with a morning of reading to multiple elementary schools between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (tentative). Once logistics are confirmed with the schools, we will share the final details.
We will be reading at elementary schools named in honor of African American educators or leaders in our community. If you are interested in volunteering as a reader at one of the selected schools, please contact Soror Sandra Bass at 702-581-4626, by email at sbass13038@aol.com or sign up here!

The meeting will take place in Building D, Room 101. Parking is available in the front of the building. There are limited handicapped spaces between buildings D and N.
Meeting Attire: Business Attire. Formal and conservative, such as a suit, dress, or slacks with a jacket and appropriate shoes.
Meeting Requirements: Only members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® can attend chapter meetings. Business attire is required. Please plan to bring a photo ID or license, and one of the following:
