Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has a strong history of supporting and servicing families, for we understand a healthy family is the foundation of a healthy community. We will take a multi-generational approach to fortify families within our communities by addressing child hunger and promoting positive youth development and leadership, mental well-being, and senior life.

Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP™)

CHIPP (Child Hunger Initiative Power Pack) provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date. As a chapter we will collaborate on this important program. We will utilize the sister squads to provide 65 power packs meals to a school the chapter chooses.
The sister squads will prepare 65 powerpacks each week.  Each sister squad will choose 1 week out of the year to prepare and deliver meals  to the school

Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)

YLI is a youth-led and highly interactive leadership development program designed to empower and engage youth, ages 11-13.

If you have a child, grandchild, niece, or child in your neighborhood or friend circle that you know would benefit from this program have them reach out to me,  Soror Iandia Morgan at for more information on how to sign up for the program.
